Our approach to AI at The Signal Edition

The Signal Edition sees AI as a useful tool. Our newsroom uses approved AI tools to help with research, drafting, data analysis and checking facts against sources. Every article lists the sources it relies on, and the figures on our data pages and calculators come from official sources and are calculated by code. Our editor is responsible for the accuracy, fairness and originality of everything we publish. The technology, industry standards and the law around AI are all changing, and our approach may change with them.
